The Science & Practice of Embodied Awareness
in person, online and asynchronously
Mondays from 1:30pm -3:15pm
January 12th through March 30th
This course is based on the former Northland College Course, Mindfulness Science & Practice that Jodi taught for 7 years. It was almost always one of the first classes to fill up. In this course we explore the practices of yoga, meditation, somatics, yoga nidra and Forest Bathing. We'll also explore what western science can tell us about how these practices impact our brains and bodies. There will be suggested weekly readings and optional weekly quizzes to help integrate the readings. Participants will be highly encouraged to maintain a daily awareness practice of 5 minutes or more a day throughout the entire 12 week course. You can see the entire course syllabus here and you can register for the course here. This course is offered on a sliding scale with a minimum contribution of $225 for online payments. If that doesn't work for your budget, please contact Jodi
